About Scott Bowers

Before founding Package Costa Rica in 2004, Scott was the founder and President of Live Oak Capital Advisors, a boutique transactional advisory firm in the United States. As a transactional advisor, Scott was responsible for brokering the deal in which Universidad Interamericana, one of the top private for-profit universities in Costa Rica and Panama, was sold to Sylvan International Universities (now Laureate Education, Inc.) in 2003. Scott has been doing business in Costa Rica for many years as owner of businesses engaged in both transactional consulting and tourism. As a result, he knows the country, business climate and the culture extremely well.
